Yosemite National Park
The conditions in Yosemite during my visits – spanning the moody transition from the winter months into the spring snowmelt – were a photographer’s perfect storm, mirroring the dramatic atmosphere found in Ansel Adams’ most iconic work. By timing the trips to capture both the lingering snow and the subsequent peak intensity of the waterfalls, I framed the landscape within the rich texture of inclement weather and shifting clouds. These selected images highlight a rare alignment of environmental elements – light, mist, and raw power—that define the park’s timeless, cinematic grandeur.
